Before establishing Alba LLP, I was a partner and the head of Belarusian finance and insurance practice in law firm Sorainen.
With over 18 years of experience in legal consulting, I have played a key role in supporting some of the most complex and landmark projects in the Belarusian market.
I bring extensive expertise in structuring and implementing a wide range of financial transactions, offering strategic advice on banking and financial services regulatory matters, and navigating the legal complexities of financial product digitalisation. Additionally, I have led legal teams in high-stakes M&A transactions across diverse sectors, including banking, insurance, pharmaceuticals, retail, industrial and logistics. My practice also includes advising on real estate transactions.
My comprehensive approach ensures that every project is addressed holistically, taking into account contractual, regulatory, corporate and tax considerations. I also prioritise implementing robust protections and remedies to mitigate potential legal disputes, delivering tailored solutions that align with clients’ strategic objectives.

Lending expert. I have advised international finance institutions, investment funds and banks on some of the major cross-border lending transactions involving Belarusian borrowers with total financing exceeding 3 billion euros.

Contributor into science. In 2017, I defended Ph.D. thesis on electronic evidence in civil proceedings and I am particularly proud that my recommendations were used as a basis for § 4 of Chapter 22 of new Civil Proceedings Code. - For more than 10 years, assisting a regional multinational development bank with implementing secured financing transactions with Belarusian corporates for the total amount exceeding EUR 263 million and USD 113 million;
- Comprehensive assistance to one of the biggest producers and suppliers of warehouse equipment in Central and Eastern Europe during sale of its Belarusian subsidiary to a local industrial group, including support with transaction structuring, negotiations with the buyer and the financing bank, drafting of transaction documents and pre-sale release of security established over company’s assets.
- Advising Polish finance group in relation to sale of its subsidiary bank in Belarus at all stages of the transaction, starting with selection of suitor and until closing.
- Advising a foreign bank on entering into currency interest swap based on RISDA standard documentation with a Belarusian retail trade company.
- Comprehensive assistance to an investor in relation to a project envisaging development and operation of electricity and heat power plants fired by landfill gas in four Belarusian cities.
