I am a versatile legal professional with expertise in both Real Estate and Construction, as well as Corporate and M&A transactions. My journey in the real estate sector commenced with initiatives to enhance the real estate registration system in Belarus at the National Cadastral Agency. This experience was further enriched as a key member of the Belarusian office of Sorainen, where I actively contributed to client projects spanning various aspects of real estate development, management, and transactions. The second field of my professional interest is the Corporate and M&A, which is an area of investment that has no less significance for the economy.
Professional highlights
In favour of development. Legislation is an essential part of society’s life, which must constantly evolve to maintain the rapid pace of its change. Pursuing this goal, I have repeatedly participated in working groups to amend existing legislation or develop new draft legislative acts.. I was the head of National Cadastral Agency’s project that prepared new version of Belarusian law on state registration of real estate, rights thereto and deals therewith, as well as the responsible person for initial drafting of legal regulation of real estate mass evaluation within the mass evaluation pilot project team in Belarus.
Challenge-lover. Any development requires both one person and an entire business to set themselves new and new goals, not all of which will have an easy path to achievement. The most interesting projects that I came across were united by the fact that their implementation required more than just well-established action plans. Whether it’s a local or cross-border transaction, investing in construction or acquiring an IT company, finding a solution that best suits a specific client and effectively balances all interests requires not only a deep knowledge of legislation and market trends, but also a creative approach.
Sharing knowledge. I find special enjoyment in learning new things and helping others to learn. For 7 years, I lectured at the State Committee on Property Educational Centre as part of the process of the registrars professional development.

Selected experience
- Performing legal due diligence on two Belarusian entities of the target in the process of advising one of the largest communications group in the world on the acquisition of e-commerce software company. The value of the transaction was EUR 200 million.
- For more than six years acting as a trusted legal advisor for one of the largest fast-food chains in northern Europe with its projects in Belarus, including legal due diligence prior to real estate acquisition, as well as consulting on construction of new or modernisation of existing facilities, equipment supply, land allocation, leasing property out, negotiations with counterparties and the local authorities on the terms of an investment agreement for the construction of a restaurant.
- For more than three years, assisting a local company of one of the biggest players on the real estate and timber market in the Baltic region on its projects in Belarus. In particular, advising on construction of a new timbermill: on the matters of acquisition of a land plot with manufacturing property and rights of engineering networks usage, technical inventory and state registration of real estate, construction and related negotiations with counterparties and local authorities, preparation to implementation of an investment project.
- Legal advising of a regional multinational bank on a loan project to finance a renewable energy international group of companies project, including legal due diligence of the project, consulting on regulatory framework and necessary adjustment of the project due to changes in regulations, revision and amendment of documents in respect to legal status of construction sites and rights to land, as well as related design, construction, equipment and materials supply agreements, checking energy quotas allocated by the state authorities.
- Providing legal support to a large regional manufacturing company with distribution offices in five countries on a wide range of matters related to restructuring of its business in Belarus, including legal assistance with deciding on the scheme of business allocation and establishing a new company, advising on the matters related to land usage, legal due diligence of real estate, its technical inventory, evaluation and re-registration during the process of its transfer to a newly created company.
- Assisting one of the largest international group of companies specialised on providing workspace solutions with its project on opening a business centre in Belarus, including advising on the matters of establishing a new company, negotiations of the terms of the premises renovation and their following lease, adaptation of the standard contract forms to the Belarusian regulations.
- Legal support of Assistinga major software development company in acquisition of an independent digital transformation agency, including performance of legal due diligence of the Belarusian entity, advising regarding merger clearance and transaction structuring, employee stock options, and post-completion matters (like arranging appropriate corporate governance).
